Ilona Selke was born in the Himalayas to German parents and was raised the first three years of her life in the mountainous regions north of India, speaking German and Persian. In utero, her parents had traveled to India, and her mother taught her yoga, alternate nostril breathing and meditation at an early age.
Due to the premature death of her father, her mother, sister and Ilona moved back to Germany. For the next 17 years of her life in Germany, Ilona lived in a large home with her grand parents, aunts and uncles and her mother and sister.
Ilona's mother, a gifted seminar teacher, took Ilona and her sister to numerous seminars, including teacher trainings for group leadership. This set the tone for Ilona's later work as a very inspiring, transformative, loving seminar leader and teacher- trainer in the Human Potential Movement.
She started her interest in spiritual worlds at the age of 17. After she moved to America at age 20, she studied Philosophy on the East Coast, and then moved to Boulder Colorado and studied Body Centered Therapy, Massage Therapy, expanding into psychotherapeutic work including Breathwork, Hakomi, Gestalt Therapy, and Holodynamics.
During her studies she worked as a language instructor with various language schools among them the well- known Berlitz school.
Ilona met her to-be
husband, Don Paris PhD., in the early 1980s, after Ilona moved to America. Originally
Ilona studied with Don who was her spiritual mentor. He taught her methods of
soul awareness, which took Ilona solidly from the pursuit of knowledge through
Philosophy into the realm of direct mystical knowing.
Together they explored many tools in the field of the alternative health. They worked closely with Dr. Bob Beck and they seriously explored the realm of Radionics together, eventually publishing a very highly regarded and exciting book on this subject "Regaining Wholeness Through The Subtle Dimensions" by Don Paris ( http://www.SE-5.com ), now available in German, English, Japanese and Spanish.
The company called "Living From Vision"
which they started in the mid-eighties, is designed to
provide information about alternative healing tools and internal psychological
processes, utilizing the inner dimensions of imagery.
They have taught these processes in Germany, Switzerland, France, England,
North America, Australia, and on occasion in some of the Far Eastern Countries.
A continuously growing number of teachers and instructors are part of their
network and are teaching these varied methods now in many countries.
Ilona has produced and published 'Journey to the Center of
Creation', a book on Dolphins and the Dreamtime, created cassette self-study
courses, and published a children's book 'Alin learns to Use His Imagination.'
She has written, workbooks, papers and many articles.
She has designed and produced 16 guided imagery journeys on CD in German and
English.
Notably she helped in the production and recording of the powerful and effective
course 'Living From Vision', now available in German, French,
Spanish and in English, as well as participated in the production of the self-
study video version of the course Living From Vision.
She has appeared on Radio and on TV internationally, and has been a favorite presenter with the Prophet's Conferences.
Inspired by Don's musicianship, Ilona started playing flute in her mid-twenties and together they now have produced 5 music CDs, expanding their depth and wisdom through music as an inspiration to the world.
Starting in the late eighties they delved into the world of water, discovering the wisdom, spiritual and healing qualities of Dolphins. They are now offering imagery training courses including the focus on interspecies communication and telepathy and how to live in the multi-dimensional universe.
The focus of Don Paris and Ilona Selke's work is to promote an awareness of and provide tools for becoming a conscious co-creator in Life and to help bring about Heaven on Earth for anyone who chooses this experience. Together Don and Ilona live on an island in the Northwest Pacific and in Hawaii.
